Dr. Heidar Arjomand

Dr. Heidar Arjomand is a Consultant Interventional, Endovascular, and Structural Cardiologist at American Hospital Dubai, where he also serves as the Group Chief Medical Officer. Since joining the hospital in April 2021, he has held several leadership roles, including Chief of the American Heart and Vascular Institute, Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab, and Director of Cardiovascular Quality. Dr. Arjomand brings over 15 years of experience in advanced cardiovascular interventions in the United States and holds American Board Certifications in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Endovascular Medicine. He graduated summa cum laude from medical school and completed extensive training in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, endovascular medicine, and structural heart interventions.

Dr. Arjomand’s clinical expertise includes complex coronary interventions, use of mechanical circulatory support in cardiogenic shock, endovascular procedures for peripheral and carotid artery disease, and structural heart therapies such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). He has published widely in the field and contributed chapters to major cardiovascular textbooks. In collaboration with the Emirates Cardiac Society, he co-founded the Emirates Cardiogenic Shock Working Group to improve care for critically ill cardiac patients. His practice philosophy is rooted in delivering exceptional care with a patient-centered approach—treating the person, not just the disease.
